Curriculum Overview

Committed to Education

We draw much of our outstanding curriculum from Abeka. This curriculum is academically strong and grounded in core Christian values and teachings. It aligns with our mission of providing a high-quality Christian education that ministers to the whole child – body, mind, and spirit. Some curriculums incorporate faith and doctrine, neglecting academics. Some include challenging academics that neglect faith, except for a sprinkling of a few verses. Abeka approaches every subject from a Christian perspective.

As we look to the future, we see our once-shared foundational values continuing to fade, and a government failing to protect or educate our children in a way that reflects these values. GRACE aims to follow through on what God called Pastor Randy to do back in 2005. We ask parents across Illinois to join us in our effort to establish numerous conservative, faith-based schools that focus intensively on students’ character, values, faith, and education.

Bible Studies

The Abeka Bible program presents the Bible as it was written. Students are led through the stories and truths of the Old and New Testaments and Bible doctrine and application at an age-appropriate level.

Reading

Because children often emulate what they read, they need reading skills and character-building reading materials from an early age. Abeka employs phonics as the most logical, orderly way to introduce reading to children.

History

Abeka's history courses present an inspiring portrayal of people, lands, religions, ideals, heroes, triumphs, and setbacks in light of the Biblical principles that govern the natural course of history.

curriculum
Mathematics

Abeka teaches that the laws of mathematics are created by God and absolute. Man's task is to search out and make use of the laws of the universe, both scientific and mathematical.

curriculum
Science/Health

The Abeka science and health program presents a creation viewpoint. The belief that the universe is the direct, orderly, law-abiding creation of God and refutes the man-made idea of evolution.

curriculum
English

Students benefit from Abeka's emphasis on reliable grammatical and literary structure that prepares them for analysis and practice. The desirable result is mastery with the development of critical thinking.
